Elizabeth Becker has reported on international and national affairs for more than three decades as a correspondent for the New York Times and Washington Post, most recently specializing in trade, development and agriculture. She is the author of "WHEN THE WAR WAS OVER" (1986), a history of Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge, which includes her rare interview of Pol Pot. Recently the Daily Beast said the book is a “must read” for anyone concerned about the trials of the Khmer Rouge.
She was the Senior Foreign Editor at National Public Radio and has won awards from the Overseas Press Club, DuPont Columbia Award and the Robert F. Kennedy Book prize.
